Grand Seiko | To every watch, there is a Season

Grand Seiko | To every watch, there is a Season

In Japan, the seasons are uniquely divided into 24 'Sekki' & 72 five-day micro-seasons.

Several Grand Seiko watch designs are specifically inspired by the 'Sekki' and their corresponding micro seasons. The 'Nature of Time' theme features prominently in Grand Seiko watch designs - a Japanese spirituality where each transient moment is a unique mood unveiled through changing light and shadow. Grand Seiko Takumi watchmakers' pride in their surroundings is represented in all watch design aspects, from engineering watch movements which emulate time flowing smoothly onwards, to creating dials reflecting the fleeting beauty of Japanese nature.
