Nomadic | Putting Belfast on the Watchmaking Map
Weir & Sons are proud to announce that we are an authorised retailer for Nomadic, a Belfast-based independent watch brand that blends Irish craftsmanship with Swiss engineering to create "adventure-proof" luxury watches. Belfast’s legacy of craftsmanship runs deep, from the great shipyards to the world-renowned linen mills. Towering over the city, the Samson & Goliath cranes stand as enduring symbols of industrial ingenuity and engineering excellence. Their home, the historic Harland & Wolff shipyard, is best known for its 401st creation, the RMS Titanic, and her first-class passenger tender, the SS Nomadic. Designed by Thomas Andrews and built at exactly a quarter of Titanic’s size, the SS Nomadic remains the last surviving White Star Line vessel. Today, this remarkable heritage inspires a new chapter in Belfast craftsmanship through Nomadic’s meticulous approach to modern watchmaking.
Their Mission
To put Belfast on the watchmaking map. To continue the legacy of the city we are from as a storied place of craftsmanship and pride in the same way the visionary shipbuilders did over a century ago.
To enrich lives by inspiring a lifetime of adventure and a sense of belonging. And to embark on an uncompromising, continual quest to improve ourselves, their community and the watches they build.
'Make progress', is more than our motto, it's our philosophy, and sums up in two words the mission we're on.

On A Misson To Make Progress
To be nomadic - to move from place to place - is symbolic of our desire to make continual progress as a company, and as purpose-led individuals. They believe that perpetual movement across countries and continents adds depth to our character and colour to our lives. Their watches tell stories as well as time, the moments made and measured as the hands sweep around the dial, chasing the sun beyond the horizon.
