Tag Heuer Connected Watch
Weirs are excited about the introduction of the Tag Heuer Connected Watch available at Weirs and sons from June 2016.
The Tag Heuer Connected watch from the Swiss luxury watchmaker is engineered with Intel inside and powered by android wear, with 150 years of Swiss expertise with cutting edge computing intelligence.
Tag Heuer is renowned for inventing and manufacturing elegant sports watches, for the Connected watch, Tag Heuer worked closely with Intel and Google to create the luxury watch, not only does this watch look good but combined with connectivity and computing intelligence with the Swiss watch making heritage. This watch features all elegance, characterises and level of finish expected from Tag Heuer. The connect watch is the first of these new Android wear devices, breaking away from the technology companies and introducing the smart watch with Tag Heuer, challenging the watch world with its savvy watch design, Intel- powered and supported by google to be compatible with Android and iOS devices.
The connected Watch is based on the Carrera collection, it features three digital dials options including hands, index, counters, date window and minute track with the choice of chronograph dial, 3 hand dial which displays the date and are available in a choice of three colours (black deep blue or pearl white). As the Tag Heuer Connected is above all watch with the digital hands and indexes remain visible at all times, even when the watch is in ambient energy-saving mode.
The Tag Heuer Connected watch features a 46mm in diameter, with the case, back and lugs made from grade 2 titanium, the watch has a more masculine design but is light and comfortable to wear. The look can be completed by a choice of one of seven vulcanised rubber straps- including black as standard, white, red, blue, orange, green, yellow are available but sold separately, light brown calfskin or titanium with a deploying buckle made of grade 2 titanium.
The functioning of the watch features an Intel® Atom™ processor Z34XX and runs the Android Wear platform, enabling a multitude of connectivity options including audio streaming, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. With 4 GB of memory, and all day battery life thanks to its latest-generation lithium battery, the TAG Heuer Connected is equipped with a small microphone to communicate with via Google voice control and a sapphire crystal touchscreen – the indispensable complement to the crown at 3 o’clock which also houses controls. The entire piece has been made water resistant for everyday use and is IP67 water resistance rated.
Key applications include Google Fit, Google Translate, Google Maps and Google Search with your voice are already available on the watch, and show the wearer information at a glance. The watch can also be easily synced with a phone running either on Android 4.3+ or iOS 8.2+. It is charged using a contact charger – simply place the watch on top to recharge it.
