Waskoll | A Parisian State of Mind

Waskoll | A Parisian State of Mind

Purveryors of fine Parisian jewellery, the house of Waskoll is still very much a family affair, as Nicola Brady discovers. And a passion for creativity is at its very heart.

Think of Parisian jewellery, and you probably think of elegance, individuality and an effortless sense of chic. That's precisely what the Waskoll brand encompasses.

Launched in 1985 by two brothers, Kirk and Cyril Waskoll, the jewellery house started life in a Paris workshop, with their initial collections focused on both diamonds and multi-coloured sapphires. Those first pieces helped to build the Waskoll name not only in France but all around the world.

The house is still very must a family affair, headed up by Kirk, who works alongside two of his children, Julie and Thomas. "Above everything else, I think passion is a big part of what makes us special," says Julie Waskoll.

"When you see a passionate artist or a passionate musician, you feel it. It's not because it's perfect, but because it comes from the heart."

There's also a distinct sense of heritage at play. "We've models that were imagined 30 years ago that are still present in almost every window of our distributors".

Of course, the influence of Paris can still be seen in their current collections.

"We are always inspired by Parisians, by their fashion, the latest trends, and the luxury," says Julie. "Paris is the city of dreams."

With similar brand values relating to high-quality style and an element of uniqueness, Weir & Sons have had a long-running relationship with Waskoll. The pieces chosen by Weir & Sons, give a nod to the DNA of the Waskoll brand, but also introduce new elements. The Unchained collection can be worn by both men and women and consists of an 18k yellow gold bracelet and necklet, the flexible curb link set with full pavé brilliant cut white diamonds. These bold, structured pieces exude strength and power, with a playful flash of light from the diamonds. The Chevalier ring would make the perfect pinkie ring for men or a statement piece for women.

With the Flamme collection, the colourful roots of Waskoll are in full display, with four multi-sapphire oval stones surrounded by white cut diamonds, set in 18k white gold. Available in pendant, stud earrings and drop earrings, there's also a round multi-sapphire pendant, with 3.55 carats of sapphire set in 18k white gold and white diamonds.

You can find Waskoll pieces at Weir & Sons all year round, with all manner of gemstones available, and bespoke items are available upon request.
