Valuation Services

Jewellery and watches often carry stories, memories and milestones that make them truly irreplaceable. At Weir & Sons, our valuation service is designed to ensure your treasured pieces are accurately documented and protected.

 

Valuations can be arranged through our Service Department, located on the lower ground floor of our Grafton Street store, where items may be booked in without appointment. Pieces may also be left at our Dundrum store, where they will be securely transferred to our Service Department team.

 

Our expert team will register your valuation request before items are assessed by a trusted independent third party valuer. Each piece is carefully examined and a detailed valuation report is prepared, suitable for insurance, probate, market value assessment or family division.

 

As valuations are not carried out in house, items will need to remain with us during this process. Completion times may vary and can take several days, and in some cases a number of weeks. Where possible, we recommend bringing any previous valuations or certificates with your pieces.

 

Valuation fees start from €140 for the first item and €50 for each additional item.
