Grand Seiko SBGW323

In 1967, the 44GS introduced the distinctive design language now known as the Grand Seiko Style, which continues to shape the brand’s creations today. The SBGW323 offers a refined, modern interpretation of this iconic model. It pairs the signature Mt. Iwate dial pattern—evocative of the mountain's ridges seen from the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi—with a soft purple hue inspired by the kiri, the official flower of Iwate Prefecture. The 36.5mm case exudes understated elegance, housing a manually wound Caliber 9S64 movement with a 72-hour power reserve. In 2004, this innovation gave rise to the Caliber 9R65. Now, Grand Seiko elevates its legacy with the Caliber 9RB2, part of the Evolution 9 Collection, featuring U.F.A. (Ultra Fine Accuracy) status and an astounding annual precision of ±20 seconds—making it the most accurate mainspring-powered movement to date.*

Inspired by the frost-covered trees of the nearby Kirigamine Highlands, the watch’s pale blue, textured dial evokes the serene beauty of icy winter landscapes.
