Bell & Ross | Time Instruments | French Watch Brand

Bell & Ross was established in 1994 as a university project by Bruno Belamich (Bell) and Carlos A. Rosillo (Ross). Initially, its watches were produced by German brand Sinn, but after Chanel became a minority shareholder in 2002, production moved to Switzerland. In 2005, the brand introduced the square BR-01, inspired by aircraft cockpit instruments, which became its signature design. Bell & Ross categorises its watches into Aviation, Marine, and Vintage, each differing in case design, movement, and dial layout.
Aviation
FROM COCKPIT TO WRIST
Bell & Ross draws inspiration from aeronautical instruments, ensuring legibility, reliability, and precision in its Instrument watches. Combining technical expertise with sleek design, the brand creates functional yet striking timepieces, true to its motto: form follows function.
IN SEARCH OF THE EXTREME
Bell & Ross designs watches for professionals facing extreme conditions—pilots, astronauts, mine clearers, and divers. More than accessories, these timepieces serve as essential, reliable tools in their missions.
FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION
Driven by the pursuit of the ultimate utilitarian watch, Bell & Ross leveraged its aeronautical and military expertise. Collaborating with engineers, master watchmakers, designers, and aviators, the brand developed three timepieces with distinct dimensions and functions: the BR-01, BR-03, and BR S.
OPTIMAL LEGIBILITY BOTH DAY AND NIGHT
Its refined graphic style, the colour of its dial, the large numerals, the shape of its hands and its photoluminescent coating allow for immediate reading of the time, both during the day and at night.

DESIGNED FOR DIVING TO RECORD
In 1997, the Hydromax, with a world record water resistance of 11,100 metres, marked Bell & Ross' entry into diving watches. A decade later, the BR 02, resistant to 1000 metres, followed, before the BR-03 Diver joined the instrument watch collection. Proven reliability over time.

Urban Explorer
A TIME FOR URBAN EXPLORERS
Inspired by aircraft instrument panels, this collection embodies the brand's values of legibility and robustness. It skilfully combines minimalism, design and modernity.
A JEWEL OF STRENGTH
The BR 05 and BR-X5, with their sleek design, durability, and flawless finish, are ideal for an active urban lifestyle. Bold and powerful, these timepieces reflect masculinity, embodying control over both time and destiny.
CONFIDENT IN ITS STYLE, THIS PIECE MAKES A BOLD STATEMENT ON YOUR WRIST
The case design blends circle and square, key shapes defining Bell & Ross. The urban collection features two models: the BR 05, which fuses the square's rigor with the circle's perfection, and the BR-X5, the ultimate BR 05 with a Manufacture movement. Its multi-component case combines lightness and strength in a refined yet bold architecture.
INTEGRATED DESIGN
The integrated design of these timepieces features a seamless bracelet and case, with polished angles accentuating the contours. The alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces extend from the case to the metal or ceramic bracelet, which is designed with curved links for a perfect fit on any wrist.
