Boho Chic: Bohemian Style for AW15
One of the key trends for fashion jewellery and watches for autumn/winter 2015 and is set to be huge for clothing too is the boho and 70’s vibe. Burberry, Valentino and Lanvin ruled the runways with bohemian inspired prints and fringing. Bohemian designs which are eccentric, with a combination of mixed metals and semi-precious stones will be big. Nature inspired motifs such as butterflies, leaves, and feathers can be worn on charms or drop earrings. The bohemian 1970’s style features coloured natural semi-precious stones, beads, and feathers.
For bracelets, stacking an armful of bangles will add an edge of individuality. Popular colour choices include yellow gold mixed with semi-precious coloured stones such as turquoise, and moonstone. The vibrant colour of the stones and eye-catching combinations make a statement. For bohemian inspired arm candy, fashion brand Missoma and Alex and Ani are the perfect choice, with collections of natural beaded semi-precious stone chain bracelets, and bangles with coloured crystal designs. The new Alex and Ani Depths of the Wild Fall Collection is bursting with boho designs with nature inspired bangles, and colourful beaded wraps.
Earring styles that have a bohemian feel include oversized hoops, plain, wooden or encrusted with gems, feathers or fringing and of course, mismatched earrings. For 70’s style earrings, Bronzallure’s rose gold plated bronze pieces are the ultimate pick, with oversized styles featuring brightly coloured stones
Leather inspired pieces such as necklets and bracelets are set to be big this season. The Alex and Ani Uncharted Voyage Collection is full of an array of colourful leather wraps to keep you up to date with leather set pieces. Pendants with nature inspired designs in yellow gold tone hues fit in perfectly for a boho luxe look. Long necklets with single pendants or charms are a popular choice among fashion brands for the autumn and winter season. To get the boho look, the new Mi Moneda collections have arrived at the Fashion
Bright bold dials are a popular choice for bohemian style timepieces. Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs watches boast an array of colourful faces fastened on chunky gold and rose tone bracelets.
