Aquis Depth Gauge 46mm Automatic Stainless Steel Watch

The Oris Aquis Depth Gauge Watch is back. Fondly known as “the watch with a hole”, this next generation model delivers even better performance. The Aquis Depth Gauge is a diver’s watch with a depth gauge function. It uses the scientific principles of the Boyle-Mariotte Law to create a gauge that clearly measures depth during a dive. The patented system works by allowing water into the watch through an opening in the sapphire crystal at 12 o’clock. Water enters into a channel milled around the outer edge of the crystal. This creates a watermark that corresponds to a gauge clearly indicated in yellow on the dial. The new Aquis Depth Gauge has three key improvements:- 1. Depth gauge system The process used to mill the channel into the outer edge of the crystal has been refined so the accuracy and legibility of the gauge are increased. 2. Metres to feet conversion chart The case back has been re-engineered so the metres to feet conversion chart is always set at 90 degrees to the 12 o’clock position. For divers relying on the chart on a regular basis, this will greatly enhance their experience of the watch. 3. Oris’s new patented Quick Strap Change system Owners can now switch the stainless steel metal bracelet and rubber strap quickly, safely and securely without needing a tool or a visit to a jeweller. With an impressive 500-metre water resistance, the Aquis Depth Gauge is ready to explore deep below the ocean’s surface. Firstly, the multi-piece stainless steel case is 45.80mm in diameter with a black ceramic top ring set into the bezel for effectively measuring elapsed time underwater. Secondly, the black dial has bold, white hour markers. Along with the hands, these are coated in superluminova for legibility in poor light. Additionally, a white minute track ensures the dial is easy to read. Finally, a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial. The Oris Aquis Depth Gauge Watch is equipped with an automatic Oris 733 movement with 38 hour power reserve. Finally, the solid stainless steel bracelet is in a poished and brushed finish with a folding clasp.
